Since the 1930s chicken pie lovers from all over New England have been driving to Harrows in Reading, MA to fill their comfort food cravings. . . Harrows Chicken Pie. Charles and Winifred Harrow started the business over 70 years ago when Route 28 in Reading was sparsely populated farmland. Over the years, Harrows has seen many changes. Harrows was part of the Reading community before Route 128 and Route 93 were even around. Nowadays, Reading is a bustling residential community that still loves its chicken pie.

Walter Arsenault started working for the Charlie Harrow back when he was a kid in the 1940s. He eventually purchased the business in the 1950's. Walter and his wife, Shirley, ran the business with a little help from the family. . .their 7 children. While different family members have come and gone, Dan and Wally Arsenault remain in the chicken pie making business. They both began working at Harrows as young children, and eventually purchased the company from their father in 1995. They both continue to work in the Reading location today.

Harrows continues to provide New England with the best quality pies, and has now expanded to 5 additional locations. All of the chicken pies are still made fresh daily at our Reading location and delivered to our stores in Medford, Saugus, Tewksbury, Dedham, and Methuen.

For many of our Harrows customers, eating a Harrows Chicken Pie is like revisiting a fond childhood memory.
